Document metadata
Last updated: June 26, 2024
Document metadata primarily consists of the following:
- A document number which, together with the document revision, constitutes the document's prime identifier
- Descriptive attributes, e.g. the title of the document
- Control attributes, e.g. whether the document is subject to change control
- Document components identified in a Contained-in relationship
- Document cross-references
When a document is approved, the metadata cannot be changed unless the document is declared as Under Change, through defined configuration control procedures.
