Starting Jobs Manually
Once you create a job definition, you should start the job manually and run the job in full at least once, to make sure you are getting the expected results. Once you are satisfied with the results, you should set up a schedule to have the job run automatically.
You can also start a job manually if you have a schedule defined, but you do not want to wait until the job's next scheduled run.
Tip: The first time you run
any job, that job will always run in full, whether you select to run it in full
or incrementally. This is because none of the documents in the input set have
been processed yet.
To Manually Start a Job to Run in Full
- In the
Bentley
Automation Service Browser
, right-click the job definition and select
.
A confirmation message window opens, informing you that running the job in full will process all documents in the input set.
- Click
Yes.
The job starts, and the Job Monitor opens (if it is not already open) to show the job's progress and status.
