Adjustment Area polygons are equivalent to Land Use Area elements, but are representative of land use changes and adjustments. With the use of multiple Surface Definition Alternatives, a user could assign different set surface characteristics to the same Adjustment Area corresponding to a pre and post-development scenario. Alternatively, different Land Use Area elements could be made active or inactive to model land use changes. Where Adjustment and Land Use Areas overlap, use the Priority attribute to manage the order in which hydrologic characteristics (i.e. Impermeability) should supersede and apply to the corresponding 2D computational grid cells they overlay.
