Work Package Overview

A work package is a detailed planning tool used to create crew-level scope of work, materials, and estimated labor hours required for completion. A work package defines the scope of work for a crew to perform over a one or two week period of time. It enables an organization to communicate across the construction team and to keep them focused on the execution of the project. Work packages take the quantity of a component and convert it to labor hours, based on SPURT or custom unit rates.

Work packages are made up of components organized in a sequence for use by your organization. Having the components grouped in a Work Package gives you the ability to perform all of the basic component tree functions at a work package level. You can focus on a work package in the 3D view, isolating only the components affected by the work pack.

You can create work packages in ConstructSim Planner and then synchronize them with the ConstructSim Work Package Server. You use ConstructSim Executive to automatically link documents to components.
