Command Files
If you submit a particular SQL statement frequently, you can save it in a command file for easier submission. A command file is simply a text file into which a SQL statement has been placed. While the file can contain only one statement, the statement can be continued on multiple lines. The default file extension is ".sql."
Note: Some database interface key-ins
require SQL statements, such as (AE=). Unlike
actual SQL statements, these key-ins cannot be submitted in the SQL Window;
they must be keyed in the Key-in Window. Like all
MicroStation
key-ins, these key-ins can also be activated from a
script file with the
key-in
@<script_file>.
