Controlling the Focus
In Microsoft Windows and other graphical computer interfaces, the focus — sometimes called the input focus or keyboard focus — refers to the window or control to which keyboard input is directed.
MicroStation has a hierarchical focus model. The top level is called home.
A field in the status bar indicates the focus location:
- Home — When the focus is home, use Keyboard shortcuts (also called Ribbon group pop-ups).
- Tool Settings — the Tool Settings window has the focus.
- Key-in — the Key-in window has the focus.
- AccuDraw — the AccuDraw window has the focus.
- (No icon) — another window or dialog has the focus.
