Input Direction
|
|
Modifies the orientation and position
of the scroll bars and insert cursor. It primarily affects interaction with the
editor, and does not directly affect placed text. Options are
Left-to-Right,
Right-to-Left, and
Vertical.
Left-to-Right and
Right-to-Left - While the editor
is capable of showing bidirectional text, based on the language entered, in
either of these modes, users of Right-to-Left languages will find it more
natural to edit in Right-to-Left mode, as the scroll bar is more naturally on
the left, and the insert cursor is aligned to the right edge of the screen.
Vertical - Has a
similar effect for vertical text (for example, some Chinese, Japanese, or
Korean text). The primary scroll bar is placed on the bottom, and the insert
cursor is oriented horizontally.
