Dynamic Views Workflow 2
In this example, you have a have a 3D design model, and you want to create a clip volume of the design, then create a saved view of the clip volume, attach the saved view to a drawing model, and then attach the drawing model to a sheet model. You may then want to print or publish as an i-model.

Using Dynamic Views Manually, Workflow 2
- Create a clip volume using the Apply Clip Volume tool.
- In the Saved Views dialog, create a saved view of the clip volume.
- In the Models dialog, create and open a drawing model.
- From the References dialog, attach the saved view as a reference into the drawing model.
- In the Models dialog, create and open a sheet model.
- From the References dialog, attach the drawing model as a reference into the sheet model.
- Print or publish an i-model.
Now you can use the Create Drawing dialog to automate workflow #2.
To Automate Dynamic Views, Workflow 2
- Select Apply Clip Volume tool.
- In the tool settings, click the Section Clip Tools icon.
- Select the desired Drawing Seed from the drop-down to set how the clip volume display styles are configured.
- Enter a data point in the desired view window.
The section clip volume is applied to the selected view.
- Right-click the clip-volume element and select Create Drawing.
The Create Drawing dialog opens.
- Select the desired drawing seed from the drop-down and turn on the Create Drawing Model and Create Sheet Model check boxes.
- Click OK.
First a saved view is created which is attached in a new drawing model. Then a new sheet model is created in which the drawing model is referenced. If the Open Model check box is turned on, the new sheet model is opened.
- Print or publish an i-model.
