Attaching References with Recommended Settings
When you drag a model or a saved view in a view window or the References dialog, the Attach Source Files dialog opens. This dialog contains a drop-down menu called Attachment Method. The same menu is also seen in the Attach Reference dialog that opens when you click the Attach Reference icon in the References dialog. If you set the Attachment Method menu to Recommended, the model or saved view is attached with default settings without opening the Reference Attachment Properties dialog.
The default settings depend on the model type that is dragged and the model type into which it is dropped. These settings are recommended as a suggestion to improve productivity and ease of use while working with multiple references. Refer to the following table for the settings.
