Component Manipulator
When you need to move an existing support to a new location along the supporting pipe, the Component Manipulation tool is recommended.
This tool uses the Component Placement Dialog (which is also used when placing a component using the Free Placement method) allowing you to define specific distances and rotation angles when relocating the component.
Note: When using the
Component Manipulator option to relocate a component, you must use the
Component Placement dialog to define the distances, rotation etc. Trying to use
the mouse to pick a new location will cancel the command.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Use Local Coordinate System | Allows you to use the original placement location of the component as the local origin point (0,0,0) and define the distances relative to that point. |
Rotation | Provides three different rotation orientations for the component. If you hover the mouse over the Rotation header an image displays providing a visual description of the different options. |
Once you have defined the new location and rotation for the component, click OK to apply the changes.
