Locks Available in the Civil Labeler
Various locks on the bottom of the dialog affect how labels are placed and updated.
Settings | Description |
---|---|
Dynamic Justification | When enabled, the text is automatically right or left justified to the same side where the leader attaches to the label. When disabled, the text maintains the justification defined for the label. |
View Independent | When enabled, the label will hold its orientation when a view is rotated. When disabled, the label is rotated when the view is rotated. |
View Readable | When enabled, the text will automatically rotate to be readable from the bottom or right. When disabled, text is not automatically rotated and may appear upside down in the view. |
Annotation Scale | When enabled, the text in the label is scaled by the annotation scale. |
Element Association | When enabled, the Relative Association or Rotation Association can be used. When disabled, all location and rotation association is disabled. |
Annotation Association(Leader line linked to element) |
When enabled, the leader is associated with the element being labeled. If the element moves, the leader adjusts to the new location of the element. When disabled, the leader does not move to the new location of the element. |
Relative Association | When enabled, the label moves but does not rotate when the element being labeled moves. Only available when Element Association is enabled, and Rotation Association is disabled. |
Rotation Association | When enabled, the label moves and rotates when the element being labeled moves. Only available when Element Association is enabled, and Relative Association is disabled. |
