Do one of the following:
In the Command Window, key in: DEFINE SEARCH <SQL_SELECT_statement>
or
DS=<SQL_SELECT_statement>
The specified SELECT statement is stored in the fence filter column of the row for the specified table in MSCATALOG.
Note: Updating the fence filter row in MSCATALOG manually with a SQL statement works, but it is strongly discouraged. The
DEFINE SEARCH or
DS= commands both modify this column, but they also turn on or off the filtering operation.
