Gusset Settings
|
- Length – Sets
the gusset plate dimension in a direction parallel to the cross-sectional X
axis of the shape selected. Enter a positive value to determine the length. A
negative value or value of 0 is not permitted. The default is 75 or 3 depending
on the units setting.
- Width – Sets
the gusset plate dimension in a direction parallel to the cross-sectional Y
axis of the shape selected. Enter a positive value to determine the length. A
negative value or value of 0 is not permitted. The default is 75 or 3 depending
on the units setting.
- Thikness – Sets
the gusset plate thickness. Enter a positive value to determine the thickness.
A negative value of value of 0 is not permitted. The default is 10 or 0.5
depending on the units setting.

Options
|
-
Group – When checked, the selected shape, gusset plates, brace
shapes and bolts are arranged to form a group. If the selected shape is already
part of an existing group then the created objects are added to that group.
- With
Bolts - When checked, the bolts are also added to that group.
- Check
Flat File – When checked, the option checks the flat file shape
table for a shape which matches the specified gusset plate width and thickness
and uses a shape in preference to a plate. The shape database checked is
controlled by the setting of
DEFAULTWIDEFLATFILE in the
ProSteel 3D configuration file. Otherwise,
a plate is created.
- Tolerance –
Enabled when
Check Flat File is set. Sets the
tolerance for creation of flat.
