In the selection list, you can see the connections
according to DASt, which is available for the selected shapes. You can control
the basic connection data in this list, and the necessary shape stiffeners are
displayed as well.

Tensile, Shear, Moment
|
Here, you enter a maximum load for the connection (in
KN) for the corresponding load type. In the list, only the connections suitable
for these loads are displayed.

Plate List
|
In this list, available connections conforming to
DASt are displayed. Select a connection by clicking it. The individual list
fields display the data on which the connection is based. The connection is
immediately updated with these data and the values are transferred to the other
dialog tabs. Meanings of the list entries:
- Label - Lists
the standard designation of the connection
- Width - Lists
the width of the plate (parallel to the flange of the connecting shape).
- Thickness -
Lists the thickness of the plate.
- Length - Lists
the length of the plate (parallel to the web of the connecting shape).
- Vertical -
Lists the number of drill holes in direction of the plate length.
- Bolt
Dia. - Lists the used bolt diameter.
- Bolt - Lists
the used bolt type.
- Stiffener -
Lists the additional stiffeners are required for this connection.
- Backer
Pl. - Lists the additional backer plates are required for this
connection.
- Top
Offset - Lists the top offset for this connection.
- Bottom
Offset - Lists the bottom offset for this connection.
- Af - Lists the
thickness of the weld seam at the flange.
- As - Lists the
thickness of the weld seam at the web.
- Tensile,
Shear, Moment - Lists the maximum loading of the connection.

If No Connection is
Possible
If, according to the guidelines, no connection is defined
for the selected shapes, the dialog tab does not appear after the selection of
the shapes defining the connection. In this case, you must define the
dimensions of the connection manually.
