Abutment Page
In the Supports/Abutment page the abutment is defined by a rigid surface and bearings arranged between this surface and the bottom face of the superstructure.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Same as | With the same as option you copy the same parameters from another pier/abutment. |
Abutment type | Two types available: Bearing and Seat. |
Surface level | Displays combined depth of superstructure and bearing depth from the surface of the deck. |
Number of bearings | Defines the number of bearings on the pier cap, up to 10 bearings. |
Bearing depth | Defines the bearing depth, up to 0.5 m. |
Bearing spacing | Defines the distance between two consecutive bearings measured along the abutment axis and the total bearing spacing should be less than the plate width. |
Bearing arrangement | Defines either symmetric or non-symmetric. Symmetric arrangement represented by constant bearing spacing. |
Connection type | Only rigid connection allowed. |
