The Reporting Point provides the user the ability to designate a grid cell of interest, where additional 2D results will be available after a compute. The Grid Browser provides for several gridded results, reviewable for the current time step as the user hovers over the computational grid. But only with a 2D Reporting point is a typical computational grid cell going to have graphable results (i.e. Depth on Grid).
